Max Kelly, AKA "El Chino", has been providing the low-end to jay's flowing and rhythmic melodies since 2003 when he jumped on the conga that Jay always provides for his audiences to play. He can be heard playing congas on most tunes, but can also be heard banging out the back beat on his various percussion toys and his cajon beatboxes which he makes himself in his home workshop in Nokomis, Florida.

El Chino's quixotic quest for a caribbean lifestyle in the Southwest Florida has him building his own cajon beatboxes and other percussion toys, listening to Salsa, Plena, and other afro-caribbean music, making his retro-style works of art, and doing his day job as a graphic designer.
